or whatever needle work you enjoy. Bring a project to work on while we sit, work and
chat! We attempt to help each other out in times of needlework crisis. This is a "no cost"
activity. Show & Tell is always enjoyed too!
Walking Group
Meet at Riverside United Church

(weather permitting) We walk up to the Cat. Trail and along the trail for ½ an hour then
turn and return. Total of one hour walk. This is a moderate pace walking group that
enjoys chatting along the way and always welcomes new people.
"Prayers and Squares" - Prayer Quilt Ministry
Meets the first Saturday of every month from 10am-12 pm at 4558 County Road 1 East, Yarker, except during the summer months. This group is open to anyone, of any level of sewing ability to gather in fellowship and creativity. Our ministry creates lap sized prayer quilts and individual prayer squares and gift them to willing recipients in times of need, health issues, congratulations and thanksgiving. The quilts are blessed in all four churches in East Camden and Odessa Pastoral Charges prior to being delivered to the intended recipient. Meeting times are used to sort fabric, design quilts, sew, organize finished projects and add finishing touches such as strings and labels. There is also an opportunity to learn some sewing skills if desired! If you would like to join in or have any questions, please contact Jen Welch-Wilson (jenwelchwilson at gmail.com) or Anita Few ( Anita.few.14 at gmail.com) to be added to the group’s email list. We look forward to seeing you there!
